Details
The CTBT: Science and Technology 2017 Conference (SnT2017) will take place from 26 to 30 June 2017 at the Hofburg Palace in Vienna, Austria. It will be the sixth in a series of multidisciplinary conferences designed to further enhance the strong relationship between the scientific and technological community and the CTBTO. The conference series provides a forum for scientists from around the world to exchange knowledge and share advances in monitoring and verification technologies of relevance to the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT). Such interaction helps ensure that the Treaty’s global verification regime remains at the forefront of scientific and technical innovation. SnT2017 will be of interest to scientists and technologists including young scientists, science administrators, academics, representatives to the CTBTO’s policy-making organs, representatives of agencies involved in research and development in areas potentially relevant to the Treaty’s verification regime, and media representatives. Since many years ENEA supports the research and innovative technological activities for the environmental monitoring and traceability relevant for the Treaty’s verification . In the last two years two mobile systems for the measurement of radioactivity and isotopic ratio has been developed to support the on site inspections conduction.
