ENEA with the EXPAND Project in the World Forum on Urban Forests
28/11/2018   Mantova, Italia
In the framework of World Forum on Urban Forest which will take place in Mantua 28th November/1st December 2018, JPI Urban Europe will host a back to back event, namely the final workshop concerning EXPAND WP3 Widening Alignment: joint solution for policies, programme and research.

The aim of this first World Forum on Urban Forest is to highlight positive examples of planning, design and management approaches that cities with diverse cultures, forms, structure and histories have implemented to optimize the contribution that urban forests and green infrastructure can provide in terms of economic development, environmental conservation, improved social cohesion, and increased public involvement. The event will last four days and will include conference sessions, exchanges, meetings, focus discussions, and public events.
The first edition of the World Forum on Urban Forest, is proving an event of great success and international interest.

The Objective is "Changing the nature of cities" to make them increasingly sustainable, greener, healthier and happier places. This is the multidisciplinary framework in which a plurality of proficiencies, including local authorities, forest managers, agronomists, urban planners and landscape architects and stakeholders for urban areas are discussing solutions for 4 days.

In this context, ENEA presented ,with success and interest of the participants, the results produced in the WP3 of the EXPAND project the CSA for the Joint Programming Initiatives Urban Europe, and with its partners of the Urban Europe Research Alliance, La Sapienza University of Rome and the Bocconi University of Milan coordinated international discussion tables on the theme of' the Urban Conflict and Convergence in the Anthropocene'.
